Katelynn Eudy goes up for 2 of her 14 against the Lady Knights

Youth was the catalyst for the Robbinsville Lady Knights, as they ended the season of the Avery Lady Vikings on Friday evening in Newland.  Freshman guard Allison Beasley netted 21 points and Sophomore point guard Tacey Trammell scored 13 to push the Lady Knights past the Lady Vikes 64-46.

Leading the way for the Lady Vikes was Katie Ellis with 18 points, 16 rebounds, 3 blocks and a steal; with Katelynn Eudy adding 14 points, 16 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 steals and 3 assists, but it was not enough as remainder of the Lady Viking line-up added 14 points, 16 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists on the evening.

Robbinsville (25-2) moves on to regional  play in Greensboro, facing off against Hiwassee Dam (28-5), looking to avenge their second loss of the season, as they fell to the Lady Eagles.  The winner of that game will go on to face the winner of Bishop McGuinness (26-4) and East Surry (25-5).  Congratulations to the Lady Vikings on their wonderful season!  More to come later.
